The Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Mr. Dasuki Arabi has described the creation of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Reforms Coordination and Service Improvement Department(RCSI) as a milestone in the FCT Adminstration.
He made this known during a one-day seminar tagged: ‘National Strategy on Public Service’.
The one-day seminar organized by the FCTA Reforms Department in conjunction with BPSR is aimed at strengthening and brainstorming on National Strategy on Public service reform initiatives.
The bureau boss in his presentation added that the creation of the department will not only strengthen interaction and engagements but will help create reform initiatives that will help reduce the bureaucratic neck within the FCTA.
“The newly created reform coordination department will serve as a focal point for driving all changes, reforms, innovations and improvement efforts within the ministry in line with our overall framework in a bid to reposition the adminstration for efficient and effective service delivery”
“However, the department will appropriately carryout its responsibilities, and will provide feedback on implementation progress to the bureau. Also, a community of practice will be formed to share experiences and information” he added.
While tasking the department to carry out it’s responsibilities diligently, the DG called on relevant stakeholders within and outside the adminstration to synergize and work together in attaining the goals and vision of the FCT.
